HTC HD2 to get Windows Mobile 7

All you skeptics out there who were almost dropping the plan of getting yourselves the HTC HD2 because of its shady Windows Mobile

7 support details, can look for ward to buy the phone finally! A tweet from the official Russian HTC Twitter account has tweeted about the HD2 actually getting WM7 support. The tweet, which, since then, has been taken down (you know why, don't you?) said the following in Russian language "For Diamond 2 firmware is not planned. Of the existing communicators on the market, only the HD2 firmware to get WM7." (Thanks to Engadget for the translation)

Now, before you start jumping with joy, let us bring back you to terra firma. This update, as of now, seems only limited to the Russian market and the HD2 will be the only existing phone to get WinMo 7. So, all you poor owners of the Touch Pro2 and the likes would have to stick to the (now) good ol' Windows Mobile 6.5. Well, all this is official folks. However, we will figure if there is a backdoor entry to Winmo 7 land to other devices when the OS eventually arrives in the form of a full-fledged ROM.
